Samsung CLP-770ND Review

- Samsung of Korea announced a new high speed color laser printer, the CLP-770ND offering:

- 4 tandem OPC drum design
- Top speed of 32ppm
- 720MHz processor in the built-in print controller
- Optional 80GB hard drive
- 11 second first color page out time
- 4 line LCD display
- Uses Samsugn universal print driver
- 256MB RAM (can upgrade to 768MB RAM)
- A4 design, letter/legal only
- 600 sheet paper capacity standard
- 120K/month maximum duty cycle

The CLP-770ND is feature-rich. Its high toner yield of up to 7,000 pages, ability to handle large volumes of paper (up to 1,100 pages) and impressive 120,000-page maximum monthly duty cycle makes the CLP-770ND a highly versatile device that meets the requirements of the most demanding of office environments. The substantial toner yield and large monthly duty cycle contribute to a competitive total cost of ownership. The CLP-770ND’s capabilities can be further enhanced with optional wireless connectivity.

The printer is easy to use, owing to its four-line LCD control panel and Compass Navigation system. The LCD panel makes it simple to read messages during the printing process, such as system alerts or status updates. The Compass Navigation system requires less buttons on the control panel, making it simpler and more intuitive to use the menu. This reduces the amount of training users need on the device and minimises trouble-shooting time.

In order to help corporate enterprises better manage their printing environment, the CLP-770ND is integrated with Samsung’s exclusive software solution, SyncThru™ Web Admin Service. With this solution, IT managers can easily and remotely manage the performance of a network printer, and reduce time to maintain devices with the addition of the hard disk drive and additional solutions including SyncThru™ Job Accounting and CounThru™.
